You can see actor Luis Guzman these days on the big screen in the blockbuster hit Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, but if you happened to be dining at Babalu on Saturday night you would’ve gotten to see the famous actor in the flesh. The star of films like Boogie Nights, Anger Management and HBO’s How to Make it in America came out to Babalu with his son, Cemi Guzman, to enjoy a delicious dinner created by Celebrity Chef and fellow Cristian Rivera Foundation Committee Member Alex Garcia. Chef Garcia’s brother, Babalu Chef Rene Garcia, and Cristian Rivera Foundation founder John “Gungie” Rivera greeted the star and his son. After experiencing various items on the menu, including Shrimp A La Plancha and Churrasco steak, Guzman raved: “I love the ambiance and the food is great.” Earlier this month, another of Guzman’s fellow Cristian Rivera Foundation committee members, Saturday Night Live’s Kenan Thompson, visited Babalu and offered an equally positive review.
