After sampling delicious hors d’oeuvres from Babalu at the recent Cristian Rivera Foundation charity reception and performance of DC-7 The Roberto Clemente Story at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub decided to experience the restaurant first-hand. Staub and her daughters Christine and Jillian Staub dined at Babalu last night in the Bronx, where they were greeted by celebrity chef Alex Garcia, a committee member of the Cristian Rivera Foundation and the executive chef at Babalu. Chef Garcia sent Staub’s table a little of everything on Babalu’s delicious Pan-Latin menu, which includes four different varieties of paella, as well as traditional dishes like tamales, escabeches and chicharrones prepared with fresh, local ingredients from suppliers in the Bronx. According to Staub, she “loved everything.”
