Clooney Still Needs to Win Over His Mother-in-Law

It’s expected to be the wedding of the year when sworn bachelor George Clooney marries his fiancee, high-powered London attorney Amal Alamuddin, but rumor has it there’s one person who’s not terribly excited about their upcoming nuptuals–Alamuddin’s mother, Baria. A family friend told Britain’s Daily Mail that Baria is disappointed that her Beruit-born daughter is marrying outside of  her religion. “She has been telling half of Beirut, in fact anyone that will listen, there are five hundred thousand Druze. Are none of them good enough for her?,” said the source. According to Druze rules and culture, Alamuddin will no longer be considered part of the religion once she marries an outsider. While her mother wonders is Alamuddin could “do better,“ clearly she is willing to pay that price to snag the world’s most eligible bachelor.
