Superman’ actress Margot Kidder passes away

A staple of the original live action Superman saga, Margot Kidder charmed the world as Lois Lane. She began her career in the 1960’s, but found mainstream success in 1978 where she starred in Superman alongside Christopher Reeves. She acted in all of the three original Superman Sequels and had a very successful career. She starred in The Amityville Horror (1979), as well as performances in The Heartaches (1981) and a 2015 Emmy nomination for her role in R.L.Stine’s The Haunting Hour. Kidder was born in Canada, but received her United States citizenship in 2005. Along with acting, she had been an activist for liberal and democratic causes, and was even arrested in 2011 at an oil pipeline protest. The end of her life she had moved to Montana to spend time with her family and grandchildren. She passed away at the age of 69. She will be remembered fondly for her acting career and her dedication.
