Hot on the market and definitely hot on the streets, urban wear has been taken to new heights thanks to a few of billboard’s top recording artist like Kayne West and Sean “Diddy” Combs who have mixed and matched today’s urban wear with 5th ave fashion; a new trend that has been flooding the streets. Nothing screams urban louder than wearing brands like Nike Air Jordan’s, with G-Star denim, an Addida’s Y-3 hoodie, and toping it off with a favorite team snap back hat. This Urban flavor attacks all aspects of today’s world from the red carpet and music videos to casual days at work or court side basketball games. Either way urban flavor is a much needed ingredient as spices are to gumbo soup.
A favorite in the world of urban fashion, Kanye West has been spotted at events all throughout fashion week and definitely been making sure his presences is known. Wearing the most flamboyant, yet stylish outfits. He was marked front row at the Jeremy Scott Spring 2011 fashion show. He was spotted in a pair of black plastic aviator sunglasses, a 3.1 Phillip Lim blazer which was inspired from the women’s collection that he had custom made, white pants and a pair of Hermes sneakers (crocodile leather). This Rosewood Movement created by Kanye West is definitely an urban do; it’s polite, stylish, fresh, and embracing. It’s bringing something real refreshing to the urban fashion and style that is very much needed. I think we can all agree it’s a trend worth following.
