Wednesday night, October 7th, a woman came to the Guardian Angels patrol site in the UWS of Manhattan. She said that she had been groped by a suspect at the West 96th St subway station on Broadway. She had taken a picture of the suspect with her cellphone. She had also filed a report with the NYPD.

John “Unique” Ayala has been our Guardian Angels Washington DC leader for close to 30 years. He has seen a lot of street violence in that time. This year he suffered the tragedy of losing his grandson Davon McNeil to gunfire on the night of July 4th.

In the late 1980’s we worked in the area of Bushwick, Brooklyn on our “Crack Down on Crack”. At the time Maria Hernandez and her husband were leading an effort to get rid of the crack dealers in Bushwick. One nite they fired 5 bullets into the Hernandez House killing Maria.
