Taylor Swift Says She’s Never Heard of 3LW When Accused of Plagiarism
Taylor Swift is personally responding to a plagiarism lawsuit. The country-turned-pop star is being sued by Sean Hall and Nathan Butler, the songwriters of the 2001 song “Playas Gon’ Play” by 3LW. The 3LW song contains the lyrics, “playas, they gonna play” and haters, they going to hate,” while Taylor’s famous song ‘Shake it Off’ includes the lyrics “Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play and the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.”
Biden to Sign Legislation to Aid Veterans
On Wednesday, President Joe Biden signed a bill into law expanding health care benefits to millions of veterans who were exposed to toxic burn pits during their military service. The bill is a major bipartisan success for Congress and addresses a very personal issue for the President. Biden had said he believes there may have been a connection between the brain cancer that killed his 46-year-old son, Beau Biden, and the burn pits Beau was exposed to during his military service.

Jennette McCurdy has opened up about the abuse that she endured from her mom throughout her childhood. The iCarly actress, who confirmed her retirement from acting in 2017, spoke to People Magazine about her new memoir, I’m Glad My Mom Died, in which she explained the extreme emotional and physical abuse that she endured at the very hands of her own mother, Debbie McCurdy, who died of cancer in 2013.
