Exploring the Magic of Movie Music

Exploring the Magic of Movie Music

I once had a music teacher tell me that music is one of the greatest things to study, because from it we can learn math, science, history, and art. It uses math to create beautiful scores, and from it we can learn about sound waves and resonance. Music’s role in society throughout all of humanity, lends itself to a rich history that we can learn from, and of course it is a form of art. Because it is such a rich and expansive medium, it lends itself to many aspects of society, including film. Music has a transcendent quality that makes it the perfect match for film as a form of escapism. The transcendent qualities of music enable it to create an ambiance, influence people’s mood, and foreshadow story, unlike any other tool at filmmakers disposal.

Supreme Court Paves the Way for Donald Trump’s Tax Returns to Be Handed Over to Congress

The United States Supreme Court paved the way this week for a Democrat-controlled House committee to obtain Donald Trump’s tax returns. The House Ways and Means Committee chairman, Democrat Richard Neal, first requested the tax returns from the IRS in 2019, while Trump was still in office.
When the IRS refused to turn over the returns, the Ways and Means Committee filed a lawsuit against the IRS, Treasury, and former Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.
