5 Seconds of Summer, or as the fans know them, 5SOS started as just another cover band in 2011. By 2014, the Australian band blew up with their single “She Looks So Perfect.” In the same year, they released their self-titled debut album.

Fans say that the band has brought back pop-punk in an all-new way. A creative blend of guitars, keyboards, and electronic sound has contributed to the new generation of the modern rock sound, without being bound to a single genre. They have worked with a number of other artists, ranging from Duran Duran to Charlie Puth. Their music knows no limits.

The group has won awards for “Best Song of the Year,” “Best Live Australian Act,” and many others during their years making music. This December, they celebrated their 10-year anniversary as a band, giving the fans a YouTube special with skits, interviews, and performances to thank fans for their support.

5SOS has also remained connected with their communities. Their philanthropic brand Friends of Friends is a clothing collection that contributes empowering youth communities. Additionally, the individual members have attributed to their concerns of choice, including LGBTQ rights and suicide prevention.
