Adut Akech is a South Sudanese-Australian model. Adut first got into the modeling scene around the age of 14. During this time she was scouted by several agencies, but didn’t officially start modeling until she was 16. The first agency she was signed to was Chadwick Models in Sydney Australia.

Adut has been in several editorials for notable names such as Vogue, Vogue Italia, I-D Magazine, Vogue Australia, WSJ, and many more.

Adut had the opportunity to be the melbourne Spring fashion Week’s ambassador for 2019 and in the same year she was named “Model of the Year” by models.com.

She also considers her background as a refugee an important part of her identity.. She told Vogue “Before I’m anything else, i am a refugee, and I’m so proud of that”
