Ambar Cristal Zarzuela is a 21-year old model who came on the scene just a year ago but has broken barrios and has already been featured on multiple covers across the globe.

 Zarzuela is the first Dominican model to open for Louis Vuitton and is one of only four Afro-Latina women to appear on the cover of Vogue Mexico, as well as Vogue Central America. Shows she’s been featured in this year include names like Dior, Vercace and Chanel.

She is known best for her signature natural afro, and became a focal point of the Louis Vuitton fashion show. In an interview, Zarzuela spoke about how grateful she has been for all her opportunities, and what being unique in the ndustry means to her.

“I come from a very humble family,” Zarzuella told ABC News. “Today I want all Dominicans to not stop reaming and to know that everything can be achieved with faith and a lot of work.”
