The NFL offseason always has its big moments, from trades and free agent signings, but no story has been bigger than Deshaun Watson’s legal issues this year. The Houston Texans’ quarterback has over 22 civil lawsuits filed against him for sexual assault by therapists who have worked with him.

Brooklyn Nets star, Kevin Durant, will be available to play tonight against the New Orleans Pelicans after healing from a hamstring strain. Durant has not played since the Nets played the Golden State Warriors on February 13th. The forward is averaging 29 points a game and returns to the team for the last 21 games of the regular season.

Baylor was triumphant over Gonzaga on Monday night, with a final score of 86-70, winning their first national championship in men’s basketball. Baylor got off to an early 9-0 lead and continued to keep Gonzaga at arm’s length for the majority of the game. Gonzaga ended the first half with some momentum by cutting the 19-point Baylor lead to 10.

During the transfer window, teams will be allowed to buy and sell players to and from different clubs. The hottest commodity for sale this summer is 20-year-old striker Erling Haaland. The 6-foot-4 Norwegian striker currently plays for Borussia Dortmund in Germany and has lit up the Bundesliga since his move from Austrian club RB Salzburg in January 2020.

Stanford University won its 3rd Women’s Basketball National Championship, 54-53, against the University of Arizona on Sunday night. The game was a low-scoring affair, but it was a great watch, with both teams going up and down the floor. Arizona was down by 7 at halftime but came out pressuring hard defensively to get back into the game.

Opening Day is an exciting celebration for the city of Cincinnati. The Cincinnati Reds have been the only Major League Baseball team given the privilege of starting every season at home since the 19th century. The Queen City typically has a parade downtown to kick off the festivities, and it shuts down all major traffic in certain parts of downtown near the stadium, as it fills with thousands of people.

On Thursday, UNC Chapel Hill announced that Roy Williams will be retiring as their head basketball coach. Williams has led North Carolina to three NCAA titles and has been head coach for 33 seasons. He is retiring at the age of 70, after 48 years of coaching.

Baylor and Houston will play each other in the first game of the Final Four on April 3rd at 5:14pm Est on CBS. Baylor (26-2) have had an outstanding year and tournament under head coach Scott Drew. The Bears have won their tournament games relatively easily other than their last game against Arkansas.

Gonzaga and UCLA square off for a spot in the National Championship game on April 3rd at 8:34pm Est on CBS. Gonzaga beat USC in the Elite Eight handily to book their spot in the Final Four, while UCLA grinded out an impressive win over 1 seed Michigan.

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Jon Jones, was one of those people watching the fight because it was very likely that he would become the challenger in the next heavyweight title fight. Ngannou won the fight by a 2nd round knockout taking the title from Miocic, who is seen by some fans as the greatest heavyweight of all time.

The first game of the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament will be Houston vs. Oregon State at Lucas Oil Stadium at 7:15 p.m. EST on CBS. Both teams had drastically different regular seasons, and they will now face off for a spot in the Final Four. Houston (24-6) was dominant in the American Athletic Conference (AAC), winning the regular season title as well as the conference tournament title.
