Universal Pictures is set to release their new exciting thriller, Beast, starring actor Idris Elba. Audiences are sure to be clinging to the edge of their seats and biting their nails while watching this new and exciting project. The film, said to be an adventure survival thriller movie, is becoming a popular topic on social media.
The overall narrative of Beast mainly revolves around the idea of survival. The story follows a family of three, a father and his two daughters, as they make their way onto a game reserve in South Africa. A trip meant to hold sentimental value and help repair neglected relationships soon becomes a scary nightmare when the family is forced to try to survive being a target by a predator lion.
When the one-of-a-lifetime adventure takes a turn down the wrong road, the family is left to try to survive and fight for their lives.
The official description of the movie reads:
“Dr. Nate Daniels, a recently widowed husband who returns to South Africa, where he first met his wife, on a long-planned trip with their daughters to a game reserve managed by Martin Battles, an old family friend, and wildlife biologist. But what begins as a journey of healing jolts into a fearsome fight for survival when a lion, a survivor of blood-thirsty poachers who now sees all humans as the enemy, begins to stalk them.”
Idris Elba will be taking on the leading role as Dr. Nate Daniels. In addition to Elba, the cast list of Beast consists of Sharlto Copley, a South African actor who will play Martin Battles, and Iyana Halley, who will play Daniels’ 18-year-old daughter, Meredith, and Leah Sava Jefferies. They will play the youngest daughter, Norah.
Beast is set to premiere on August 19, 2022, and is set to release exclusively in theaters.
