Following the release of her critically acclaimed seventh solo album ‘Renaissance’, the
record’s lead single ‘Break My Soul’ could challenge long lasting champions LF System
for Number 1 this week. According to reports, ‘Break My Soul’ is set to bounce from
number 6 to number 2, but some expect it to go higher in the charts.
Other songs on the star’s new album can be seen further down the chart as well, and
are expected to slowly make their way up the charts. ‘Cuff It’ currently sits at number 10,
and ‘I’m that Girl’ sits at number 11.
David Guetts, Becky Hill and Ella Henderson have become staples of the Official
Singles Chart Top 10 in recent weeks, but it seems like Beyonce’s new album is set out
to change that.
‘Break My Soul’, a house music inspired single, was first released on June 21 and had
previously peaked in the UK chart at number 4. Her new 16 track album arrived on
Friday, six years after the pop sensation’s last full-length solo album, ‘Lemonade’, in
The work on her new album features contributions from her husband and famous rapper
Jay-Z, Drake, producer Skrillex and The-Dream.
Following its release, critics have praised it as “another remarkable record” in her
collection of music, and a “celebration of living abundantly.”
