Body found on rocks near resort in Atlantic City

Atlantic City police are actively investigating a tragic incident where a woman’s body was discovered near the Boardwalk Casino early Thursday morning. The body was found at around 5:30 a.m. in the unit block of North Main Avenue on rocks, behind the Flagship Resort.

Local authorities also reported that the woman was found wearing a swimsuit.

This comes after $9 million worth of police upgrades and $5 million to help with their camera surveillance in January. In addition, in early July, Marty Small, the mayor of Atlantic City, held another meeting regarding public safety. During this, he said, “We cannot claim to be this worldwide resort if we don’t handle the problems the resorts sometimes encounter.”

This type of incident, for residents and visitors alike, this type of incident is even more concerning during this busy time of year.

As of now, police are actively working together on more information and the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are still uncertain.
