“Bookstagram made me do it!”
If you love reading YA, romance, fantasy, or fiction, you’ll want to check out this list of books trending on Bookstagram. I’ve come across tons of reels recently raving about these books. Though most readers’ TBR (to be read) pile is typically enormous with all the amazing books out, these trending books have been dubbed “must-reads” from several bookstagramers!
1. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
This book has long been on my TBR list, and I am seeing it everywhere. Having read another series by Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass), I’m not surprised by all the hype this book is receiving from other readers on Instagram. Notable for its enemy-to-lover trope, this book reframes the classic Beauty and the Beast story. This best-selling book is also one in a series of nine, catering to any of my binge-readers out there.
2. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
This book has received ultimate praise from the bookstagram community, hyping this novel for its epic one-liners. This book follows the scandalous life of an aging movie star, Evelyn Hugo. She chooses an unknown reporter to tell her story as the reader unravels Evelyn’s tales. After seeing that bookstagramers have rated this book 96% worth the hype, I think it’s about time I start reading it!
3. When we were liars by E. Lockhart
This book follows the female lead, Cadence, who suffers from memory loss. Readers follow her adventures with a group of friends, tainted by family drama and trauma. This book follows Candence’s perspective as the writing style is fractured and everywhere, mirroring the side-effects of her memory loss. Though some readers have criticized her writing style, it fits the aesthetic of the book and only deters some as this book still has multiple five-star reviews.
These are my top books in my TBR, along with other bookstagram-dubbed must-reads like The Cruel Prince by Holly Black, The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood, The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, and Red, White and Royal by Casey McQuiston.
