Bridgerton Actress Shares her Simple Skincare Routine

Season 2 of Bridgerton brought us not only Anthony’s arc development and resolution but also the Sharma sisters, with whom he becomes entangled in a compelling, yet emotionally exhausting love triangle. 

Charithra Chandran who plays the youngest Sharma sister, Edwina, shared in a video she made for Vogue some of the details from behind-the-scenes, as well as her new pre-makeup skincare routine which she updated after experiencing the toll that long hours of shooting can take on the skin. 

Fans were pleasantly surprised by her simple, minimal, and down-to-earth skin regimen which consists of only 5 steps. 

  1. Cleanser

As is to be expected, her routine starts by cleansing her face with an antioxidant product and gentle movements. She explained that she used to be really rough to her skin however, her makeup stylist on the set asked her to be much gentler. 

  1. Toner

Even though she wishes to keep her skincare simple and easy to follow, this is no reason to skip on a toner. She goes for an antioxidant toner with mandelic acid, which helps the nutrients in the moisturizer she applies on top of the toner absorb better. 

  1. Eye Mask and Lip Balm

After the toner, she focuses on the two driest and most sensitive areas of her skin: the area around the eyes and her lips. She uses a multipurpose soothing balm on her lips because she loves products that have a lot of different purposes and which are as natural as possible. She also relies on some hydrating and sculpting eye masks, to provide extra moisture and a good base to prevent cracks when she applies her foundation later. 

  1. Face Moisturizer

Reaching the end of her routine, she likes to use a basic moisturizer, to keep her skin elastic and hydrated and provide a good foundation for her makeup. 

  1. Eye Cream

A staple in most skin care routines, especially for those with dry skin, and it seems that for Charithra the area around the eyes needs all the moisture it can get. The Netflix star confessed that she did not use to take care of her skin growing up, but now that she is becoming a little bit older, she is trying to make it a priority.    

  1. Face Gym

Like a workout but for your face, these treatments consist of a series of massages that are designed to stimulate blood circulation and collagen production, boost the lymphatic system and increase cell renewal. 

Charithra swears by them, saying that while she was skeptical at first, she noticed a huge difference in the quality of her skin after getting periodic face gym sessions.
