‘Bridgerton’ Adding Fresh New Faces to Cast

Netflix’s Bridgerton is adding three fresh new faces to its third season.

The popular Shondaland romance has added Daniel Francis, Sam Phillips, and James Phoon to the cast list for the upcoming season, which has already begun production in London.

Daniel Francis (Once Upon a Time and Stay Close) is said to play Marcus Debling, a charismatic man who “lights up every room he enters.” He attracts the notice of many matriarchs and a sea of others in the show.

Sam Phillips (The Crown) is said to play Lord Debling, a genial aristocrat with unique and unusual interests. However, his wealth and his title back up his interests. Thus, he still has a long line of young ladies looking to marry him.

James Phoon (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) will play Dankworth, who somewhat lacks wit but makes up for it with his looks.

Season three of Bridgerton will focus more on the love story of Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), which is remarkably different from the order of Julia Quinn’s novel series, in which the Penelope-Colin story is the focus of book four, instead of three.

In the same fashion as the other seasons, this season will be full of the usual romantic cat and mouse game that is very popular in the earlier seasons, as Collin will offer to mentor Penelope in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband once he finds out that she is giving him the cold shoulder. Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly.

Bridgerton Season 1 and 2 are available to stream on Netflix now. Season 3 is currently in production.

Trevor Noah is Leaving the Daily Show: Here’s Why

After seven years of hosting Comedy Central’s Daily Show Trevor Noah announced on Thursday that he will be leaving the program shortly. The announcement came as a shock to many viewers along with Comedy Central itself. In the episode celebrating his 7th anniversary, he expressed nothing but gratitude for the time he spent as the host,“I’ve loved hosting this show. It’s been one of my greatest challenges and one of my greatest joys. I’ve loved trying to figure out how to make people laugh even when the stories are particularly shitty on the worst day but after seven years I feel like its time.”

TV Review: Why I Love The Vampire Diaries

This show (including the people that were a part of it!) has been my favorite show ever since I randomly saw it on TV in 2009. I was 9 years old, which is way too young to have watched it, but I couldn’t help myself when I realized how wonderfully put-together the plot was and how dazzling the characters were. As I got deeper and deeper into my love for this show, I realized that I also loved all of the actors and producers that were a part of it, and I developed a huge crush on Ian Somerhalder that I still carry with me to this day. Sadly, this show has already ended, but you can stream all of its seasons on HBO Max or Peacock. You can also find its two spin-off shows, the Originals and Legacies, on Netflix.

What would happen if America’s Next Top Model still airs now?

America’s Next Top Model is one of the most contentious reality TV shows in recent memory. Reality television is known for airing some of the most dramatic moments, but this particular show has received a lot of backlashes, prompting fans to wonder if the ‘reality’ of this television program is perhaps a little too negative.

Bella Hadid making her acting debut in Ramy Season 3

Last week Hulu released the trailer for season 3 of the Hulu original show “Ramy.” The trailer showed Bella Hadid as Lena, who appeared to be a love interest of Ramy’s friend, Steve. They met on a dating app called Muslim Matches, which apparently doesn’t require its users, like Steve, to be Muslim.

Why the Kardashian Empire Won’t Last Forever

If you didn’t know them from “Keeping Up With the Kardashians”, then you’ve certainly learned about the Kardashian family one way or another, whether it be through media scandals or the launch of a new beauty brand, or perhaps the release of a new mobile game. Even the name “Kardashian” has become eponymous with inescapable fame, the kind that permeates every corner of pop culture and becomes a reference within itself. The Kardashians have molded so many of our current trends that it’s hard to imagine what pop culture would be like without their influence–but I think that time may be closer than we realize.

The 2022 Emmy Awards: A Recap

The 74th Annual Emmy Awards premiered Monday night (Sept. 12), and we got to see the very best of TV’s current names. Some historic milestones were made, a few underdogs earned their wins, and Kenan Thompson of SNL fame–who dubbed himself the “mayor of television”–pulled it all together as the show’s host.
