The Milwaukee Bucks got their sweet revenge against the Miami Heat on Tuesday, setting an NBA record in the process. The Miami Heat knocked Giannis and Bucks out of the playoffs during the bubble this summer. The Bucks were projected to go to the NBA Championship but were almost swept by the eventually Eastern Conference Champions.
The Bucks hit a record breaking 29 triples for a total of 87 points coming from beyond the arc. They also set a record for most players with a made 3-pointer in one game with 12. The one Bucks player that didn’t hit a three was Giannis Antetokounmpo.
This barrage of triples led Milwaukee to a 144-97 victory over Miami. Jrue Holiday lead the charge with six three pointers, he totaled 24 points three rebounds and seven assists. Khris Middleton lead the way in points with 25, he also contributed four rebounds and five assists.
All of these Bucks hit a three pointer on Tuesday: Jrue Holiday, Sam Merrill, Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, Donte DiVincenzo, Bobby Portis, D.J. Wilson, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Jordan Nwora, Pat Connaughton, DJ Augustin and Bryn Forbes.
However, there is a silver lining for the Miami Heat. They will get their attempt at redemption tonight against the Bucks. Can the Heat bounce back and get a win after being demoralized by the three pointer?
