Cameron Dallas was born in Whittier, California, and began his career in September 2012 posting vines of himself playing jokes and pranks on his friends and family. In 2014, Dallas had 8.1 million followers on Vine, making him the 11th most-followed account, and 11.3 million followers on Twitter. In addition to this Dallas has approximately 21 million followers on Instagram. Alongside being well known for his accounts on Vine and YouTube, Cameron Dallas has made quite an impression on the modeling industry when he appeared in the 2016 Calvin Klein’s Milan menswear show. He has also made it onto the cover of Teen Vogue and in the pages of Vogue Hommes but doesn’t see his career capabilities stretch to just modeling. Netflix released a series called “Chasing Cameron,” about his life as a young celebrity and his road to fame.

The reason I chose Cameron Dallas as the August 2020 Male Model of the Month was because he was a name and face I grew up with. He was always someone who could get a laugh and smile from his viewers and he is the perfect example of a well-rounded person. Just because he has accomplished so much doesn’t mean he has stopped attempting new things and paths. I find it refreshing that he is so young and hasn’t let fame overcome him. He also made a Broadway debut which has always been a pipe dream of mine and again, goes to show his versatility and passion to go out of his comfort zone and test his limits.
