A brand new lipstick line from Celine has officially launched. Celine’s new Rouge Triomphe lipstick represents the fashion brand’s official expansion into makeup. The lipstick was first announced in March as the first item of its first-ever beauty line Céline Beauté, marking the brand’s return to makeup after 50 years.
Celine Beauté was conceived by designer Hedi Slimane, who previously introduced Celine’s fragrance line, Celine Haute Parfumerie, in 2019.
“The creation of Celine Beauté enriches the brand’s cultural heritage, promoting a French vision of femininity and allure, refined over the past five years through Hedi Slimane’s new institutional codes for the Maison Celine,” the company stated in a press release.
The Rouge Triomphe lipstick, described as having a satin finish, comes in a gold case inspired by Louis XVI’s gold jewelry—a love letter to the historical elegance of Paris. Priced at $75, this luxurious red lipstick is now available to the public after a successful pre-launch in Paris and London pop-up stores.
Alongside the lipstick, customers can purchase a golden travel-sized brush, a regular brush, and a makeup pouch, all featuring the iconic Triomphe emblem. The brushes are priced at $96 each, while the pouch is available for $395.
Though the red lipstick is currently the only shade offered, 15 additional shades are set to launch in January 2025. Following this, the Céline Beauté catalog is expected to expand further. While specific products have not yet been confirmed, the brand hinted at items like eyeliners, nail polish, lip balms, mascaras, and more during its initial March announcement.
