Fans all over await the release of the new Harry Potter series in talking with HBO Max. With the books and the movies out, we’re sure there will be some changes in the series that were not previously in the books.
Under the deal with Warner Bros and J.K Rowling, the author would still have a creative say in the production and the final results, so we don’t miss any of the magic. With the new “Hogwarts Legacy” video game out and “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” hit Broadway production, we still cannot get enough!
The series is said to be a season for each book. So season one, for example, would be “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” and so on. It has been 12 years since the last Harry Potter movie, and times are changing, and so will the series. Many wonders fill the air; who will play Harry, Ron, and Hermione? Will we have more diversity and representation in the new series? There is only one way to find out, but here are some of the ideas fans hope to see in the new series.
Hermione will end up with Harry?
JK Rowling admitted that she wanted Harry and Hermione to end up together but could not let it happen. She acknowledged that Harry/Ginny and Hermione/Ron pairing was not the best overall choice and did not work out so well. On Sunday, February 02, 2014, at 8:40 am, The Sunday Times published an article with a rare inside interview with the author.
She said: “I wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfillment. That’s how it was conceived, really. For reasons that have very little to do with literature and far more to do with me clinging to the plot as I first imagined it, Hermione ended up with Ron.”
She added: “I know, I’m sorry, I can hear the rage and fury it might cause some fans, but if I’m absolutely honest, distance has given me perspective on that. It was a choice I made for very personal reasons, not for reasons of credibility.
“Am I breaking people’s hearts by saying this? I hope not.”
Will we see Harry and Hermione together after all?
Minerva McGonagall’s love life.
Minerva McGonagall is a strong, intelligent woman wizard and a massive character in the movies and the books. Will we be diving more into her personal life in the series? The Pottermore went into a long backstory on Mcgonagalls love life and what happened. A romance with a muggle, a marriage that slipped through? I can’t wait to see if we will hear more from the wizarding world.
Dumbledore and Grindel
Causing quite a rally, Dumbledore in the books did not have any love interests, and it was not specified. Still, many people think that Dumbledore will have a partnership with Grindel as there is not much representation in the books, and Dumbledore was never known to have a girlfriend or a wife. Many fans feel that there is not enough representation, and others think it is not right to add it in now, but will we be able to find a happy medium in this wizarding world for the TV series I hope so.
