Chipotle Mexican Grill: Vegan and Vegetarian Addition

Chipotle Mexican Grill was founded in 1993. With an emphasis on food integrity, Chipotle makes it its mission to serve tasty and healthy food to each customer. At Chipotle, food is prepared from scratch with the addition of lemon and lime juice; which results in a scrumptious and flavorful meal. In 2015, Chipotle became one of the restaurants to serve food that was GMO free. Not only is Chipotle a good place for carnivores, but also herbivores. Chipotle offers a large variety of items for one to choose including vegan and vegetarian choices. Unlike many fast food restaurants, Chipotle offers a meat replacement topping called Sofritas, which is shredded tofu braised with chipotle chilies, roasted poblanos (mild chili peppers), and a blend of spices. Not only does do they offer Sofritas but they also offer a large range of vegetables, beans and rice for one to add to their meal. If you wish to have vegan and vegetarian fast food meals, Chipotle is definitely the place for you.

There are far too many benefits to not eating meat that far outweighs any perceived negative consequences. For starters, it’s the more ethical choice (when compared to the majority’s omnivorous diet). On behalf of both animals that needn’t be ranched for the sake of being slaughtered and eaten and for the environment, which- as a whole- could stand to bear a few more vegetarian converts in order to reduce the number of greenhouse gasses occupying our current atmosphere. Not to mention the wide variety of flavors and cuisines that going vegetarian opens up for people. As it turns out, in eliminating one food source, I consequently gained a whole cookbook’s worth of bold flavors and creative dishes. Since becoming vegetarian, I have felt more like the person I want to be, and I am grateful for the choice I make every day.
