Chrissy Teigen And John Legend Are Expecting Another Baby

Model and The Cravings cookbook author, Chrissy Teigen, announced that she and her husband, musician John Legend, are expecting a baby. On Wednesday, Chrissy – who has been undergoing IVF treatment– went to Instagram to tell fans that she was pregnant with the couple’s fourth child.

“We have another one on the way,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram account showing off her baby bump, later adding, “so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing.”

The pregnancy announcement comes nearly two years after Chrissy and John shared that they had suffered a pregnancy loss. Following the miscarriage, Teigen openly spoke about her experience, deciding to blow against the long-standing culture of silence when it came to pregnancy loss.

“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough,” Chrissy wrote on Instagram in September 2020.

Teign announced that she had fears after her pregnancy loss back in 2020, saying she was never sure when the right moment was to announce this new pregnancy.

“Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still,” she added. “I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok phew it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”

According to the model, she became pregnant with him naturally, while she and John conceived their first two children through vitro fertilization.

Chrissy was afraid that she would never be able to have children again, but in February 2022 she revealed she had been “balls deep in another IVF cycle to save as many eggos as I possibly can and hopefully make some strong, healthy embryos.”

“I honestly don’t mind the shots,” she added. “They made me feel like a doctor/chemist.”
