Clash of the Titans

This morning I got a phone call from Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. It was a congratulatory call in regards to the Yankees getting into the World Series. Their musical director Robby Robinson actually had the best line. Of all the guys in the group, Robby is the most astute about baseball. He definitely is the biggest fan. He termed this classic match between the Yankees and Dodgers as the Clash of the Titans.

He is definitely right. When you have two great teams with players like Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, and Giancarlo Stanton on one side and Mookie Betts Freddy Freeman, and the modern-day Babe Ruth in Shohei Ohtani on the other… in the immortal words of Phil Rizzuto, Holy Cow!

It’s no wonder that people from all over the world are flying back to America just for the hope of attending at least one of the games.

As one person said to me this morning from France… I want to one day be able to say that I was there.

I literally had to put up a post on Instagram saying that I don’t have tickets for the games.

I literally have to congratulate both the Dodgers and the Yankees on putting together two colossal teams that the World can truly appreciate. I must also acknowledge and congratulate Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred and his staff for their incredible leadership and promotion of what has truly become a World Series.

On a personal note, I must congratulate Hal Steinbrenner and his family for understanding the importance of what the Yankees mean to the world of baseball and the city of New York during this difficult period in our city’s history. I must congratulate our team President Randy Levine for the incredible accomplishments that he brings to the overall operation of the organization. The team COO Lonn Trost and the head of Yankee Global Tony Bruno and of course our long-time General Manager Brian Cashman who’s vision has always been great!

Being that I started my career in the clubhouse (Batboy ) I must congratulate The Cucuzza Brothers and their staff on the wonderful work all season long.

I have close to 100 thousand readers a week both on Tastemakers and Newsmax so I am proud at the fact that I can acknowledge all of these deserving people NOW LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!
