First-class passengers on Delta Airlines will soon be able to choose from an exciting new food menu. This new development is due to a recent collaboration between Delta and the popular fast-food restaurant Shake Shack.
Shake Shack’s President of Global Licensing, Michael Kark, and Delta Air Lines’ Managing Director of Onboard Service, Stephanie Laster, shared their enthusiasm for the partnership and what travelers can look forward to.
“At Shake Shack, we’re always looking for innovative ways to meet our guests where they are—even at 35,000 feet,” said Kark. “Taking our beloved cheeseburger to new heights, Shake Shack is proud to partner with Delta as we elevate the in-flight dining and hospitality experience for travelers across the country.”
Starting in December 2024, Delta first-class passengers on routes longer than 900 miles will have the option to order a Shake Shack cheeseburger meal. This collaboration is expected to expand to additional U.S. markets in 2025.
“A delicious cheeseburger is an iconic comfort food—our customers know that, which is why burgers are one of the most popular menu items we offer. We’re thrilled to elevate that experience with Shake Shack,” said Laster. “However, our partnership with Shake Shack goes beyond the burger. Shake Shack’s people-first culture and commitment to enriching their neighborhoods align perfectly with our own brand values of service excellence and supporting the communities we serve.”
The Shake Shack cheeseburger meal includes an Angus beef patty, cheese, a toasted potato bun, chips, a Caesar salad, and a dark chocolate brownie. Passengers can also customize their burgers with toppings like tomato, lettuce, and ShackSauce. Meal customization can be done in advance through the Fly Delta app or a link provided via email.
