Drake Teases New Music, Seen in the Studio

Drake took to his Instagram story to post a video of him in the studio. The video now has fans speculating whether or not the rapper is releasing new music soon. In the public shared story, there is a sound engineer behind a mixing desk surrounded by speakers.

Drake’s last music venture happened in 2021 with the release of his famous album ‘Certified Lover Boy,’ which featured other famous rappers like Future and Lil Baby. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and seemingly was a hit on both Spotify and Apple Music, breaking records as the most major streaming debut in a single day.

Speculation of a new upcoming Drake album comes after the rapper Nicki Minaj discloses that Drake is the executive producer of her new upcoming album. After this reveal, along with his video in the studio, fans went even further to speculate if Nicki Minaj would be featured on any new Drake projects.

Despite not explicitly saying that he is releasing a new album any time soon, Drake disclosed last month that his team is planning on new live “highly interactive” shows in his hometown of Toronto and New York. At the shows, Drake is said to be performing most of his songs from his last album, ‘Certified Lover Boy.’

Drake took to his label’s Sirius XM radio station, Sound 42, to explain any upcoming tour dates in the works. The rapper states, “They’re gonna be something different, something that I’ve never done before. Gonna be a highly interactive experience.” He continues, “My brothers will be there, it’s gonna be great to see y’all, hopefully, get a chance to speak with you, hopefully, learn a little more about each other. I’ll have the dates for the coming soon, I can’t wait.”

No caption was attached to the picture, and fans will have to wait to see if Drake will follow up with a statement or release date. Drake has not yet made a statement on social media or to the public about whether he is releasing new music or new tour dates.
