Edgar Berlanga is a 26 year old Puerto Rican boxing phenom hailing from Brooklyn, New York.  Berlanga has enjoyed a highly successful career in boxing already, with a 162-17 amateur record; and a 21-0 professional record.  His first 16 bouts all ended in first round knockouts, earning him nicknames such as “The Chosen One” and “Puerto Rican Mike Tyson”.  His power punching and ring IQ has fans and experts alike recommending him for championship bouts with the who’s who of boxing; and his success has drawn early comparisons to another Puerto Rican boxing great, Felix “Tito” Trinidad. 

Besides cementing himself as one of the greats in the sport, Berlanga is also a humanitarian.  He has led the effort in fundraisers for hurricane victims in Puerto Rico; and was recently named as a board member for the Cristian Rivera Foundation –a not-for-profit organization dedicated to funding and research of pediatric brain tumors.
