Pop-diva Dua Lipa, 28, has confirmed that she will be releasing her third studio album this year. The star had an outstanding performance in this year’s Grammy Award Show where she sang two of her new singles “Houdini” and “Training Session” which are the first two singles set to be a part of her upcoming album, as per Billboard. Dua sat with comedian Jimmy Kimmel on his show “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Thursday to discuss the creation of the album.
“I started writing for this album in 2021, and I just wanted to write my ideas down…and so, I went down to CVS, and I just bought a random notebook. Had I have known how important that book would’ve been, maybe I would’ve gotten a more fancy one, The second I write a song…um.. I know weather.. its.. its good or not or weather it’s close to being good, and then I would rework it, and every song on this album, and like… or any one of the other records that I’ve made I’ve gone in, and rewritten it over and over again until I felt it was perfect.” Dua told Jimmy.
Dua released the first single of the album “Houdini” November of last year, and “Training Sessions” is set to be released this month February 15. Her first single Houdini has a dance-pop, clubby feel with an 80’s sounding synth while Training Sessions also has a clubby-funk pop feel.
For this project, Dua will be working with A-list producers and musicians like Tame Impala as well as Danny L Harle to name a few. She “promised it would be a pop album,” as per Capital FM, and a name has not as of yet been announced.
