Everything You Need to Know About Yellowstone Spin-Off

The TV show ‘Yellowstone’ has proven that it is going to continue to expand its plot through other shows. The list of spin-off shows just continues to grow. First, there was ‘1883’ and then ‘1923’; now there is ‘6666’, which is pronounced “four sixes” or known as “the sixes” in Yellowstone. The sixes are the ranch that the Yellowstone character Jimmy goes on to work at after leaving. This TV show will follow the lives of cowboys living and working on Texas’ 6666 Ranch. This ranch is not new to Yellowstone fans as it was featured in season 4 as they followed Jimmy’s story there. According to a press release from Paramount, the show will explore the history of the legendary 6666 Ranch. The ranch was founded when Comanches still ruled West Texas. No ranch in America is more embedded in the history of the West than 6666. The ranch is still operating as it did two centuries ago. The 6666 has inspired a new scripted series where the rule of law and the laws of nature merge in a place where the most dangerous thing one does is the next thing. They are known for the world-class cowboys they train, as well as their horses and livestock. There has not been an official cast announced; however, we have seen some of the cast in the parts of Yellowstone that the 6666 is a part of. The producer, Sheridan, is known to wrangle big stars for his projects, so a good cast is almost a guarantee. According to legend, Samuel Burnett won the ranch in a card game with four sixes. However, his descendants deny that story and say the name of the ranch comes from the fact that Burnett branded his first herd of cattle with “6666.” After hearing about the 6666’s real-life history, you might be surprised it took as long as it did for Sheridan to tap into its storytelling potential. Sheridan purchased the Four Sixes ranch in May 2021, after its previous owner passed away in 2020 — the first time the ranch had been sold in over 150 years. It was established by Samuel Burnett, a rancher, and oilman, in 1900 and spans three counties and over 450,000 acres in Texas. Burnett died in 1922, and the ranch was passed down through the generations to his great-granddaughter. There is no release date for the show yet. However, it should be sometime this year on Paramount Network.
