Expected Unseasonable Heat During This Weekends’ Super Bowl

This Sunday, on Feb 13. at 6:30 P.M. ET., the Super Bowl will be going live! Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige are some of the hottest names that will be featured during the halftime show; however, these artists aren’t the only thing that’ll be hot this Super Bowl weekend. The temperature in Los Angeles is expected to reach an all time high with temperatures suspected to reach somewhere around 90 degrees!

Even though the weather will look beautiful, it won’t feel beautiful. It will be important to take proper measures to stay cool this weekend. Here are some tips to help you beat the heat:

  1. Drink lots of water
  • Staying hydrated is super essential when it comes to staying cool. Drinking a lot of water will help replace any fluids you’ll end up losing from sweating and it will also help lower your body temperature, so you don’t overheat.
  1. Dress for the occasion
  • Make sure you dress light! Wearing things that allows a lot of air flow to your body is a must. You’ll thank yourself later for picking those shorts over jeans.
  1. Eat light
  • Don’t weigh yourself down with heavy foods. Keep it light with salads, fruits, and things of that nature. Fatty and greasy foods will slow you down and make you lethargic.
  1. Bring a fan
  • A mini fan will be your best friend! When there’s no wind blowing and you need that extra bit of coolness, having one of these stored away in your bag will be a life-saver. Make sure to bring extra batteries for it because you’ll be using it a lot for temperatures that high!

Make sure to try your best to follow some of these tips. The National Weather Service is warning that there could be heat-related illnesses because of the unseasonable heat. Make sure to have fun this super bowl weekend, but also make sure to stay safe!
