Fashion at the MTV Movie and TV Awards 2022

This year MTV’s Movie & TV Awards took place on Sunday, June 7 from the Los Angeles’ Barker Hangar, and was hosted by Vanessa Hudgens. Although some might say the highlights of the award ceremony had to do with all the nominations and wins from different artists, the red carpet is where many of these Stars gleamed. From Sydney Sweeney to Snoop Dog, here are just a few celebrities who rocked the red carpet at this year’s award show.

Olivia Rodrigo

This year, Rodrigo wore an archive Jean Paul Gaultier sleek corset gown which she paired with Y2K-style space buns. She wrapped up her look with OutHouse Jewellery’s Oh Celeste Nova spiked earrings.

Rodrigo took home the award for Best Music Documentary for Driving Home 2 U.

Vanessa Hudgens

As the host for the night, Hudgens wore a custom high-low dress in cobalt silk chiffon Vera Wang Dress. Throughout the night, Hudgens changed her look multiple times, also wearing brands such as Versace and Valentino.

Glen Powell

This year, Top Gun: Maverick co-star Glen Powell wore a simple yet elegant suit that was part of a “head-to-toe” look by Canali.

Jenna Ortega

The Scream star and the winner for Most Frightened Performance, Ortega wore a sophisticated back off-the-shoulder mini dress by Valentino, paired with platform heels and diamond jewelry by Tiffany & Co.

Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton

The Euphoria star rocked a black suit and paired it off with golden sneakers.

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg, who DJed the award show this year, rocked the Red Carpet wearing a Dr. Bombay velour matching set that included animal print. He wrapped his look up with a MTV logo chain necklace.

Jennifer Lopez

Taking home the iconic Generation Award, as well as winning the Best Song Category, JLO showed up to the ceremony wearing a black MÔNOT gown with a leather vest, plunging neckline, and long skirt from the fashion brand’s fall/winter collection. She tied the look together with jewelry by Candy Ice, a bag by Jimmy Choo, adn shoes from her collaboration with DSW.

Sydney Sweeney

Winning the award for Best Fight and Best Show in her work in HBO series, Euphoria, Sweeny wore a cropped shirt and a shimmering crystal miniskirt with buckles by Miu Miu.

Sophia Di Martino

The Loki star wore a red pantsuit with an embellished jacket which was designed by Andrew Clancey.

​​Maria Bakalova

The actress wore a three-piece look that included a miniskirt, cropped top, and blazer by Dolce & Gabbana. She tied it all together with a choker, ankle-strap sandals, and a casual updo.

    Kanye West is no stranger to controversy. In a last-minute Paris Fashion Week stunt, West pulled out all the stops at his YZY season 9 show in Paris on Monday (Oct. 3) to showcase his latest collection. But the only thing that stood out to thousands of viewers were West and his models wearing “White Lives Matter” apparel in an inflammatory statement that has earned an incredible amount of backlash from just about every corner of the Internet.
