NBC’s Saturday Night Live is turning the big 4-0 this year and it seems the show is getting a bit of a facelift ahead of that milestone. The show recently announced that four cast members will not be returning when the next season kicks off in the fall. Three of the ousted Not Ready For Primetime Players–Noel Wells, Brooks Wheelan and John Milhiser–were only with the show one year while the fourth, Nasim Pedrad, has been with Saturday Night Live for five years. While we’ll miss her impersonations of people like Kim Kardashian and Ariana Huffington, Pedrad won’t be going far. She will be seen this fall on Mulaney, a new Fox sitcom starring former SNL writer John Mulaney. Speaking about her departure, Pedrad said, “Obviously there’s nothing like that show and I was lucky to be there for five years. At some point you have to leave, and I can’t think of a better reason to leave than for this particular show and this particular cast.”
