Keeping up with the Guardian Angels

Guardian Angels Animal Protection Rescues 4 Kitties in Need

Yesterday Guardian Angels Animal Protection rescued 4 kittens from the Brooklyn Animal Care & Control. At the tender age of just 3 weeks old these kittens sadly had found their way onto the Kill List. They were brought in because they were found on the streets without a mother in sight and clearly would not be able to make it on their own. Since the start of the pandemic the shelters have been closed to walk-ins, public adoptions have been cancelled but the animals continue to be brought in nonstop and euthanization continues. Yesterday when Nancy went to pick up the kittens in Brooklyn the shelter was fenced off completely. It was only because she had a pre-approved appointment for pickup on the Kill-List that she was able to get the cats. But with kitten season in full swing and animals being relinquished due to health issues of owners as well as those being displaced due to non-work the shelters are FULL of sweet, loving animals just looking for a chance. It’s hard to imagine one minute being in a loving home and the next standing in a metal cage by yourself wondering where your friends are but that is a reality now for so many sweet souls. Please consider adopting from the local shelters because they have little to no chance, or local rescue groups out there who do so much with so little and need adopters so they can take in even more animals in need. You can make that difference today!
