BTS member Suga invited Halsey on stage for his solo concert at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Sunday evening in the context of his world tour “Suga Agust D.” On the last day of the three-day concert, Sugar surprised his fans with the appearance of Halsey for the 2020 song ‘Suga’s Interlude,’ from Halsey’s third studio album ‘Manic.’
Halsey was the second invited artist to Suga’s world tour after MAX joined the rapper for his second night of concerts in Los Angeles. MAX had collaborated with Suga for the songs “Blueberry Eyes” and “Burn It.”
“The last time you were in LA, we were at my house,” Halsey told Suga on stage. “And now I feel like I’m in your house.”
Although “Suga’s Interlude” was released more than three years ago, the song serves as a milestone for Suga’s musical journey with BTS and on his own.
“We’ve been on stage together so many times, but this felt really different—so thank you, guys, for having me,” she finished.
Suga began his solo tour in New York last month and has since performed for several nights in New Jersey and Chicago. The rapper’s last two concerts in the US will be in Oakland. After this, Suga will be performing in cities like Jakarta and Singapore for the Asian part of the tour at the end of May.
Suga’s world tour is supporting the rapper’s debut album ‘D-DAY,’ launched on April 21st, along with the music video for its single ‘Haegeum.’ The album includes collaborations with the South Korean singer IU, The Rose Woosung’s singer, and the late Japanese Academy Award-winning composer Ryuichi Sakamoto.
“I’ve been trying all my life to separate the time/In between the having it all and giving it up, yeah,” Halsey sang alongside a choir of 15,000 people. “I wonder what’s in store if I don’t love it anymore/Stuck between the having it all and giving it up, yeah.”
