Make Up Artist of the Month for October 2022

Bio

Over the course of her 20-year career, the Iceland-born, Los Angeles-based makeup artist has worked with some of Hollywood’s biggest names. From the red carpet to the big screen, from high-fashion editorials to commercial advertising, Heba’s visionary and versatile approach makes her an asset to any creative collaboration. When she puts on makeup, it’s more than just a cosmetic procedure. Heba completes the cast. Heba began her career in music videos 20 years ago, working with REM, Bruce Springsteen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Sting. She quickly landed a job as an assistant makeup artist on the seminal TV show Twin Peaks, where Director David Lynch was so taken with the creative talent that he used her as inspiration for the character of “Heba The Snowqueen” in the first season.

Heba’s presence is also in high demand in the editorial and advertising worlds. She has worked on the covers of L’Uomo Vogue, Mademoiselle, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Vibe, and Shape, as well as major marketing campaigns for Levi’s, Redken, J.Crew, Emporio Armani, Nike, The GAP, and Ray-Ban.

She is also the makeup artist for the most controversial movie of the year, Don’t Worry Darling where she captured the 1950’s through her makeup. Other movies include Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and The Suicide Squad.
