Hidden Valley Ranch Launches New Ice Cream Flavor

Ranch is an all-time favorite; whether for salad or for dipping pizza, most Americans have a love for Hidden Valley’s ranch dressing. What many people did not see coming was ranch-flavored ice cream!

A Brooklyn-based ice cream parlor “Van Leeuwen” debuted their new Hidden Valley Ranch ice cream. You may be wondering how a savory condiment could become a creamy dessert, but the flavors are described as “savory flavors of ranch, including buttermilk, flavorful herbs, and a touch of sweetness.”

This new flavor will be accessible to the public through Walmart sometime after March 20th. The recommended toppings for this ice cream include salty, crunchies like potato chips or pretzels and even vegetable sprinkles! Creating new flavors such as this one has proven to be productive in getting brand name recognition through YouTube and TikTok.

Hidden Valley has been known to partake in collaborations such as this one, having previously worked with Crocs and other companies. Hidden Valley likes to have fun with its customers. There has recently been an increase in savory ice cream flavors hitting the market. Ranch is joining the race with mac&cheese, lobster, and even pizza-flavored ice creams.

There is a market for those who prefer a savory ice cream flavor to a sweet one. Current reviews on the flavor say it is heavy on garlic, and while it does not taste just like ranch, it is still enjoyable. This flavor will be available in limited edition pints at Walmart, starting March 20th to May 28th. Be sure to stop by and try some ranch-flavored ice cream while you can!

    Is Vegetarianism Really Healthy?

I have been a devout vegetarian for a year and a half now, and I can confidently say that as long as my diet is my choice, I will never go back to eating meat. There are far too many benefits to not eating meat that far outweighs any perceived negative consequences. For starters, it’s the more ethical choice (when compared to the majority’s omnivorous diet). On behalf of both animals that needn’t be ranched for the sake of being slaughtered and eaten and for the environment, which- as a whole- could stand to bear a few more vegetarian converts in order to reduce the number of greenhouse gasses occupying our current atmosphere. Not to mention the wide variety of flavors and cuisines that going vegetarian opens up for people. As it turns out, in eliminating one food source, I consequently gained a whole cookbook’s worth of bold flavors and creative dishes. Since becoming vegetarian, I have felt more like the person I want to be, and I am grateful for the choice I make every day.
