After bursting onto the scene in late 2022, Ice Spice released her debut album “Like..?” in January 2023. Since then she has yet to release any full-length records. But tonight, the wait is over, Ice Spice is expected to release her sophomore album, “Y2K!”.
In a recent interview with Capital XTRA Breakfast, she said, “I’m so eager to put out the album, I’m really excited. It’s like finally here. I’ve been working on it for like a year.”
She and her fans could not be more excited about her newest release. With the tracklist having already been announced, these fans can see that some pretty big names are going to be a part of this album. Rappers like Travis Scott, Gunna, and Central Cee, will all have songs on the record. Ice Spice has done team-ups like this before, collaborating with Nicki Minaj and Lil Tjay on “Like..?”.
Ice Spice also mentioned wanting to add a little something different to her album this time around. In that same interview, she went on to say, “I kind of want to do something that is kind of crazy, but I don’t want to say what it is yet. I feel like people are going to have so many things to say, but if I do it you guys will not miss it.”
She continued explaining that how what she has in mind could be pretty risky. Many have speculated that it could be a double album with a surprise deluxe coming shortly after. Others think this could be some kind of response track to her supposed “beef” with Latto, who has taken shots a few times so far this year. But we won’t have to wait long to find out.
The ten-track album will be released at midnight tonight (EST).
