New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter officially began what will be his farewell season this week and on Wednesday night, the shortstop and team captain was honored before the Yankees took the field at Minute Maid Park. The Houston Astros presented Jeter with a video montage and even reunited him with two of his former Yankees: Roger Clemens and Andy Pettite, both of whom played with the Astros and currently live in Houston. The moving tribute is surely the first of many Jeter will receive before he plays off into the sunset at the end of the 2014 season. It’s safe to say that Jeter will definitely be missed by not only Yankees fans but baseball fans as well.
