Jimmy Butler III is an American basketball player for the Miami Heat. Also known as “Jimmy Buckets” and “Playoff Jimmy”, Butler is a six-time NBA All-Star, a five-time All-NBA Team honoree, a five-time NBA All-Defensive Second Team honoree, and an Olympic gold medalist.

Butler caught the attention of Division I teams after his freshman season at Tyler Junior College. He was listed as the No. 127 junior college prospect in 2008. He accepted an athletic scholarship to attend Marquette University where he moved to the starting lineup in his junior season.

Butler was selected with the 30th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls and would go on to play for them for six seasons. In 2017, he was traded for the Minnesota Timberwolves and is currently with the Miami Heat. Butler has made a name for himself as one of the top stars in the NBA. He led his team to the 2020 NBA Finals after defeating the Boston Celtics, earning Butler his first Finals appearance.

Jimmy Butler loves coffee and made headlines in the NBA bubble when he started selling it from his hotel room during the playoffs. He has his own coffee company named Big Face Coffee.
