John Clang is a Singaporean photographer and filmmaker. Born in 1973, Clang began his professional artistic studies at the  Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore before being mentored by fine-art photographer Chua Soo Bin after only six months.

 

Understood Soo Bin’s tutelage, Clang began developing his skills that will eventually become the iconic techniques that he’s known for. Clang’s photography focuses on the relationship that people have with the place and other mundain objects around them. 

 

Clang’s first solo exhibition was in New York City in 2001 and has since exhibited his art across the globe solo and in group exhibitions.
