Of the few male models known for their luscious locks, Jordun Love stands above the rest. Love, a Philadelphia native, always knew he was destined for the limelight. A student of the arts, he performed as a trained dancer in the city before eventually being signed with New York Model Management at the age of 19. Love’s long, head-turning hair became his signature crown; it wasn’t long before it was flowing down the runways of Givenchy and other world-class designers. The 6’1 model has also graced the covers of renowned magazines such as Vogue Italia and Dazed, using his background in dancing to accentuate the form of his body. But aside from modeling and dancing, Love also wants to use his fame to break gender norms in the industry as a Black queer man.

“There was a point in my life where I truly just stopped giving a f— about what other people saw as ‘cool and masculine’ or whatever society’s standard is for Black men in general”, Love shared in a 2021 interview with V Man. “I started feeling like I was living my life to please other people […] because I was afraid of being judged. But what I didn’t realize is that the more that I share my authenticity, the more love generated around me and from me.”
