Journey 2 Offers Laughs and Thrills in Eye-Popping 3D

This season, the most exciting family adventure is at the movies. Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is the sequel to 2008’s Journey to the Center of the Earth but you don’t have to have seen the first movie to get sucked into the thrills and suspense that Journey 2 has to offer. Starring Josh Hutcherson from The Hunger Games, the movie follows his character as he goes on an expedition to find a lost island with the help of his stepfather, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, a pretty girl, High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens, and her helicopter-pilot father, Cristian Rivera Foundation Committee Member and well-known character actor Luis Guzman—who is pictured to the right with Hutcherson wearing Cristian Rivera Foundation wristbands at a 2011 concert supporting the foundation. Luis Guzman is so funny in this movie. He offers lots of comic relief to go along with the romance, the adventure and the great 3D special effects. You’ll feel like you’re on the island with them and you’ll be rooting for the characters from the beginning. It’s a nice story about bonding with friends and family, and not giving up on you dreams. We highly recommend it.

With all this time that passed, many of us are wondering one thing about this franchise: Should we even care?

The Screwball Comedy Is The Original Rom-Com

Before we had sprawling, romantic films like The Notebook and Titanic, Hollywood was rolling out what is known today as the screwball comedy. These films dominated the industry from the early 1930s to the early 1940s, a decade most often referred to as the rise of Hollywood studios and “talkies.”

What Will Be The Best Movies Of 2022?

Some may say the third day of a new year is a little early to make grand predictions, but I disagree. Isn’t it more fun to cast your predictions when you truly have no idea of how the year will play out? Yes, it is early, but a new year means new movies, so I think now is the prime time to make our wild guesses for which will be the best of 2022. I’m keeping my list to a tight Top 5, even though I could easily make it a Top 30, and ordering the films based on their release date. Let’s see how your favorites stack up.

James Cameron And The Spider-Man Film That Never Was

In the mid-1990s, sometime between Terminator 2 and Titanic, iconic director James Cameron was toying with the idea of making a Spider-Man film, but didn’t due to not getting the rights from Fox Studios. What would that movie have looked like? Well, Cameron has the answer for you: like a pretty basic Spider-Man movie.
