Carolina Giraldo Navarro known as Karol G was born in Medellín, Colombia, on February 14, 1991.As a kid she would perform alongside her father who was also a musician. She also loved listening to music, her favorites being the Bee Gees, Thalía, Spice Girls and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Karol G was on Colombia’s take on The X-Factor in 2007. After being discovered she signed with a Puerto Rican label. Her first two albums did great numbers, ‘Unstoppable’ which came out in 2017 reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart.’Ocean’ , her second album, came out two years later and debuted at No. 2 on the Top Latin Albums chart.
Now she is one of the biggest Latin artists in the world. She has one countless awards the most notable being Best New Artist at the 2018 Latin Grammys. and a Latin Grammy Award for her song “BICHOTA” winning Best Reggaeton Performance.
