Kate started working at Hot Topic and living in New York in 2006. She soon became the manager and left her makeup career in the rearview mirror for a while. She ended up in London for a five-day MAT course that her father was so kind to pay for. After that, her makeup career started snowballing.

Kat Ali has fought hard for her corner in the industry. As she is now her own boss and has done fantastic makeup looks such as the makeup seen on Ariel in the live-action Little Mermaid and Enola Holmes. Kat Ali loves the mixture of the punk 80s pink contour and blue overdrawn eyeshadow. She also is a fan of clashes of pink and red. Kat is a fantastic and super creative makeup artist, she frequently shares what she has learned on her Instagram account even going as far as to share the look she did on Ariel in the Little Mermaid!
