Fashion Designer of the Month for May 2021

Bio

Kenneth Ize is a Nigerian-born fashion designer who uses his roots in African culture to design and create his pieces. He uses traditional Nigerian methods and textiles, and he used his first few paydays to buy land and create the largest textile factory in all of Nigeria. He aims to revive the Nigerian textile industry, which he says is intertwined with the history of Nigerian culture. “I’m Pan-African. I love my culture so much and there is so much to share,” he told Vogue “If I had to explain African culture in one word, it would just be love.”

His collections have range in color schemes, some collections having lots of bold colors and warm palates, with others with deeper hues, while all of them are bold and featuring stripes and distinct lines.
