Kick back and relax on the beach with these books this summer

Whenever I think of the summer, I think of a clear, sunny day on the beach, a foam fridge next to me filled to the brim with ice and cold drinks, and a great book to immerse myself in. With this in mind, here is a book list to enjoy along with the sand this summer.

Seven Days in June by Tia Williams

Seven Days in June is a story of love found, lost, and found again, and is one of the most anticipated romance novels of the summer (at least personally). Many years ago, Eva and Shane had a week-long affair that inspired their novels for years to come. The writers will have a chance to stay in each other’s lives when they meet again. The story of Eva and Shane is promised to be a steamy one, having the water nearby to cool off is a must. This book will be out June 1.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert

Talia Hibbert’s warm, witty, and critically acclaimed trilogy concludes with Eve Brown, the youngest of three sisters, experiencing her own love story. Eve is floundering after her millionth (or so it appears) failed job attempt when she stumbles upon a charming B&B. The hotel’s owner, Jacob Wayne, is everything Eve isn’t: Focused and unflappable. They’re polar opposites, but they can’t deny that magic happens when they work together. Purchase this installment here, and take the trilogy in its entirety on vacation with you as well.

Don’t Breathe a Word by Jordyn Taylor

Don’t Breathe a Word is no exception to the rule that elite boarding schools are the setting for some of the most intriguing stories. Taylor interweaves two stories set at the same boarding school: Eva in the present day, recruited to join a secret society, and Connie in 1962, tasked with testing the school’s nuclear testing facility. The young adult novel examines the steps that an individual must take to confront an institution. Purchase this book here.

The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix

The Final Girl Support Group is the book you’ve been waiting for if you grew up or enjoy watching 80s slasher films. The premise of this clever, fast-paced horror-comedy is a support group for the only women who have survived encounters with a serial killer. Then, for the first time in years, one of the girls misses a meeting, and they fear that history is repeating itself. Find this book on its release date July 13.

The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave

As a book fiend myself, I have seen this book boasted everywhere and will do anything to get my hands on it as soon as possible. The story follows Hannah Hall, who believes she knows her husband of one year back and front. But when he vanishes, leaving her to look after his 16-year-old daughter, you should hold on tight because The Last Thing He Told Me is full of surprises, including the FBI, nefarious tech companies, and suspense. As the story unfolds, you’ll be as surprised as the protagonist. Purchase this book off Amazon.
