Kim Kardashian Joins American Horror Story Season 12

Kim Kardashian, entrepreneur, reality star, and pop culture icon, will star alongside returning star Emma Roberts in the next season of American Horror Story, ‘Delicate.’

Roberts first joined the show back in Season 3, Coven, where she played a telekinetic teen, Madison Montgomery, but she also returned to play other characters in subsequent seasons.

American Horror Story is an anthology co-created by producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk that has new themes, characters, and stories each season. The 12th season of the hit series will be written, and show run by a single writer, Halley Feiffer, a first for the show. Kardashian’s role is specifically written for her.

“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” Murphy said to The Hollywood Reporter. “Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish, and ultimately terrifying role, especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”

Kardashian posted a tweet with a short teaser with a blood emoji and a video of the word ‘DELICATE’ accompanied by soft piano music. Specifics about Kardashian’s and Robert’s roles are being kept under wraps, but one thing we do know is the show is based loosely on Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel Delicate Condition.

The novel is described as a “gripping thriller that follows a woman convinced a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens – while the men in her life refuse to believe a word she says.”

Kardashian has acted before, but this will be her most high-profile role to date. AHS has previously starred Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, and Lady Gaga in season 5, who up until then had only been in her own elaborate music videos– paving the way for her successful film career.

The new season is scheduled to shoot in New York City late in April, and a summer premiere is anticipated, with Murphy and FX to announce an exact date in June.

American Horror Story is an incredibly successful series receiving over 100 Emmy nominations and 13 wins.
