Underground Artist of the Month for June 2021

Kynsy is a 23-year-old alternative musician from Ireland who has been gaining attention due to her silky smooth vocals and experimental sound. She tells interviewers that she puts a lot of focus on vulnerability and organic creativity. She also directed her own music video for her song “cold blue light” and touts how she likes to experiment and try new ideas and methods of creating art.

NME describes her style as “a bit of Talking Heads, a bit of Saint Vincent, a bit of Bowie,” but mentions that the list of influences gets even longer when you ask her herself. She told reporters “Being 23 in 2020, everyone’s into a bit of everything. There shouldn’t be any boundaries.”

Her latest song “Happiness is a fixed state” is available on most streaming platforms and she is working on more works including an upcoming EP right now.
