Latin Artist of the Month for July 2021
Leslie Grace is a Dominican-descent singer-songwriter from New York and raised in Florida. She has been nominated for three Latin Grammy Awards for her performance as a vocalist. She portrayed Nina Rosario in Jon M. Chu’s highly acclaimed film musical In the Heights (2021), based on Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning Broadway show by the same name.
“Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow,” a multilingual version of the Shirelles’ 1961 song, was her mainstream breakthrough. Her bachata-tinged version topped the Billboard Tropical Songs and Billboard Latin Airplay charts, making her the youngest female artist to do so. Leslie Grace, her self-titled second studio album, debuted at number four on the Billboard Latin Albums chart and third on the Billboard Tropical Albums chart.
Her most popular songs include a collaboration with singer Becky G and group CNCO, “Díganle.” She has also collaborated with rapper Wisin, on a reggaetón remake of Selena’s “Si una vez.” Grace also worked with singers Noriel and Maluma.
